Almost 4 months ago, neon blue goby disappeared in my 180g tank. Last night it was spotted in the left overflow chamber, and after much patience, sighting was confirmed!

No photo as too dark in that corner overflow and it hides so very very very well in there behind pipes. Posting so others that have fish that disappears have hope

Tonight we are getting it out

That reminds me: I should have a look in my overflow later and see if anything is lurking in there. +Bonus fish!
Fish catching begins in about an hour!

I work from home, and feed tank 2x daily. Knowing its hiding back in overflow, it got a tiny meal right before lights out last night once discovered, and it got lunch today. Today I got to see it better and it is SOOOOooooo thin... once it gets back in main tank it will get fed and fatten back up.

In late July/early August, we customized (cut & heated) some flexible plastic tube to close narrow opening around water discharge flexible spouts that go thru overflow boxes. Suspect neon blue goby got thru that opening in late May, but looked and looked then I decided crab ate him.

Next time any fish disappears, will put a little food in both overflow boxes as its swimming/eating and observable when feeding. Still can't figure out how its doing such a great job hiding in there

SAD NEWS - neon blue goby back in the overflow despite the precautionary blocking we'd put in place... time to catch that fish (again)... this time I will put it into an acclimation box... but wondering if my HOS style has slits too large for this tiny fish
