Hi All,
I am Kishore from India.
Finally, I am starting my first salt water tank, after having put it off for a long long time.
Tank specs: 36 x 20 x 22 inches ==> 70 Gallons.
Aquascaping using Aquaforest new gen rocks 2 x 10 Kg boxes.
I would be using about 1" shallow sand bed of white aragonite sand.
Initially it would be a fish only setup (for a short while until things get settled down).
Eventually, I'd like it to be a reef tank, mostly having softies and maybe few LPS if possible!!
This is my first attempt. Your comments and suggestions are most welcome !!

AQF new gen rock, is it porous dada?
Wet the system, then you'd get a proper feel of how the scape looks.
I would suggest some water flow directed behind scape, so no detritus accumulates too.
From WB?, from Assam here tho.

Hi..
I have read that the aquaforest rock is porous. Hope it is!!! Else will not be good for a marine setup.

I just added water today. The scape looks quite good. Only thing is the effect of refraction of light. The space or length of rocks in the fron to back direction gets compressed. The scape seems to be too close to the front glass. Anyways, nothing can be done now, ive cemented the rocks. It looks quite OK to me..

Regarding the flow, i will alter it once sand is in. And maybe if I add corals.

I'm from Bangalore actually. I know, the name is confusing. Its a nick name given by a Bengali friend. :D

Oh alright, it's easier for you to get live stuff locally and Chennai side too, us North East folk have it tough :').
I am making a scape out of sansibar, bio filtration by mantis blocks. Will post my build thread soon.
What's for mechanical filtration?

Right now, I'm using a canister. Initially my waste generation will not be too much. So, it's ok. But eventually, I plan to add a filter sock in a chamber in the main tank. That will help to remove all dirt before letting the water into the canister. I have a thread for it here.

Oh, and I have a hang on skimmer too.
