Has anyone lengthened the power cord on a Photon V2+ going from the power supply to the light?

I am in the middle of a new build, roughly 270 gallons. Tank is peninsula style. I just build a control panel mounted under the stand and mounted all the power supplies to it. My issue now is the cords for my ReefBreeder Photons are not long enough.

1) They dont have extension cables do they?
2) Has anyone just spliced into this cable to lengthen it and any issues?

I could use another 6 feet or so of wire.

#WelcometoR2R!!! Nice lights and great job on the control board! Is there are reason not to use a power strip (maybe even one with a surge protector)?

Big shout out to Logan Vanghele of Reef Breeders, he is making extension cables that will solve my issue. Hopefully this will be a product they will offer in the near future for those that need them. Cables should be just over 6' long.
