I haven't used that company, but I have used this company. My SL200 watt bulb is $500.00 from AQUA UV, this place its $350.00...Big Savings for me.
How do you find the quality and effectiveness of these UV lights?

Though I haven’t tried these yet, I found a more economical AquaUV replacement bulb made by Ushio, which is a reputable Japanese bulb manufacturer who had a presence in the aquarium hobby with their MH bulbs.

You usually get what you pay for, but sometimes you can find a good deal and the only way to find a good deal is to try it out. My advice on this is....if you want to try a cheaper bulb. Its best to buy the cheaper bulb and the OEM bulb at the same time. That way if the cheaper one burns out too quick or has a bad spectrum etc you have a known quality backup. If the bulb is a keeper then you can simple just keep buying that one after you use the existing one and the backup. Its always good to have a backup bulb on tap. Also if the cheaper bulb is a good one. Its best to buy up a few of them as they usually dont stick around long.
