A tank emergency is a valid reason to take a personal day. No interesting stories, but I have missed work for tank reasons, none in many years though. That's more of a factor of not having an emergency then anything. Hope you are okay...

Wasnt an emergency per say but let's say Sunday night at 1230 isnt the time to decide rerun some plumbing knowing dang well menards isnt open to get parts.

I haven't necessarily called in sick because of a tank issue, but I have gone in late because I was getting a livestock order overnighted and I wanted to be home to receive and acclimate.

I took a quick 30-35 minute break from rounding in the hospital to come get a livestock shipment that unexpectedly delivered a day early.

I had a huge RFA chopped/blended by an MP40 at around 5am......... spent the whole day making and changing water.

Called off because my child was sick. And sick it was, a nem had walked into a powerhead and at 4am I walk out my bedroom and see a white tank. My jaw dropped and I INSTANTLY called in like $450 today or crash a $8k system -__- no LFS even opened til like 10am so I had to hit Walmart to get super cheap Walmart pet section ammonia remover just to go out swingin cuz I wasn’t even sure the tank would make it until 10.

I have left work early many times for fish tank related things. Sick fish, new fish being delivered, when i can't wait the whole day at work knowing im leaving to go get a new fish lol. Haven't had to call off for work though that I recall.
