As i was doing sea trials on my new sump there was a problem with the overflow.
https://www.reef2reef.com/threads/please-critique-my-first-sump-plumbing.406449/
I have euro bracing and wanted to see how difficult it would be to remove the weir, at which time i noticed 1 of the braces on the inside box had came loose. I could only feel it with my hand and there was no way to reach it without draining some water and removing the box. At that time i noticed a second brace had come loose. it looks like they are just super glued in place. Well somebody did a very poor job on mine. So i dried it out and fixed it with some frag glue. I'm just glad I found it while the tank only had tap water.

Frag glue IS superglue. You really should repair it with acrylic cement.

Either way, it's shoddy workmanship. Those internal braces prevent the leading edge of the skim box from warping.

I don't think that is acrylic. Website says polycarbonate?

Polycarbonate can be solvent bonded using methylene chloride.

Really? Usually the lids are polycarbonate and the boxes acrylic. I'd inquire of the manufacturer.

Went and looked. Seems they injection mold them now, so you are right - polycarbonate. I've no experience working with that material.
