Welcome aboard ! Awesome ...and I love all the scapes from little to big...
Thanks. The scape on the 20g didn't turn out quite like I envisioned, but it is growing on me. It felt a lot smaller once I started putting rock in it.
That said I do really enjoy how easy it is to reach everywhere in the tank.

Here is another view. Just finished setting up a camera to do a timelapse. I want to document the changes from start to... wherever we end up.

Think I might try raising the camera up a little higher tomorrow. Won't be able to see over whatever I end up deciding to grow on that front rock.

Welcome to R2R! Love the idea of a time lapse. Now I'm looking at the various jars/cylinders in my house and some spare live rock....
I actually ended up having two of those jars.
Planning to figure out the exact amount of water needed after rock displacement so I can fill the second jar and transfer the rock/coral for water changes. Then I can just carry an empty jar off for a wipe down and sand rinse.
I am a bit worried about the effects of essentially wiping out the sand bed every week. If it was bare bottom, this would work great.

...if it doesn't work I might just have to make it into another full time reef jar.

That jar is a really cool idea. In no time one you’ll have 5 tanks probably ;)
That is a serious danger.
I probably shouldn't have put 4 shelves in that rack for jars and a slot for a second 20g underneath the current one. Oh, and there is some room at the end of the 20g self that is unused... the T5s will be overhanging it anyways...

Got to be careful though. Don't want to get overrun with maintenance and ruin the fun.

WELCOME!
Here are some resources you may like

If you like to read

If you prefer video’s. First is “52 weeks of reefing” (lots of info but long and things have changed since it was made). Second video series is “5 minute guide”, shorter, good info

Thanks. I found those really helpful when I was preparing to get started.
I have to admit I am more of a reader. I couldn’t tell you what the BRA guys sound like, but I read (closed captioned) most of their videos back when the little guy needed to be rocked to sleep.
