Within the last two months I lost 3 fish.
All of them don't have sign of ich, body damage or gill damage. It really bothers me not knowing how the tank inhabitants are dying.
Everytime a fish died I check the tank parameters right away and don't seem to have any problems.
If anyone can charm in that would be great.
Thank You all for reading.
I have seachem ammonia alert tag in tank, it always show yellow. It is possible you had an ammonia spike, or low level of oxygen.
What test kit(s) are you using?
What type of water are you using? (RODI or tap water from faucet)
How were fish acclimated?
What filtration are you using? (basket, skimmer, etc)
Take this to heart but API kits are some of the worst hence the Low price fr them producing false reading s for many and being that it is also for freshwater- No faith in ammonia badge.I have seachem ammonia alert tag in tank, it always show yellow.
I am using API test kit and Salifert test kit.
I am using 5 stage RODI system
Fish acclimated by temperature flow then 2 hours of drip. Those fish been in my tank for over 2 months.
Using skimmer, chaeto, bio rings, floss and Sponge.
Ok I think you are right, I should do that. ThanksTake this to heart but API kits are some of the worst hence the Low price fr them producing false reading s for many and being that it is also for freshwater- No faith in ammonia badge.
Do this for yourself- Take a good water sample to a trusted LFS and have them test and verify reading to compare with yours.
