Thank you!

I have all of those things except an RO unit- I have done one water change so far and used aerated tap water with tap safe. Is this ok
As I said v new to this hobby but the main thing I understand is that you'll need a better source of salt water. Either buy yourself an RO unit and mix your own salt water with marine salt or you can buy RO water directly from your fish shop and either add salt there or mix it at home.
Dechlorinator products will remove chlorine from the water but I believe it's the dissolved solids/metals in the water that are the bigger problem long term.
I'll leave someone more experienced to weigh in on using tap water but that's my understanding.

Hi all! New here and new to salt water. I have taken on a nano tank that someone was going to shut down as they are moving abroad. I am very keen to learn and do my very best for this little tank. I would like to ask, what are the things you think I most need? I have a water test kit on my list as a must. The fish are eating frozen mysis in the evening and flakes in the morning.

I keep seeing vitamins advertised, but don’t want to waste money on things that aren’t necessarily needed.

Would anyone be kind enough to let me know the things I absolutely need now, to keep this little established tank thriving?
Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Test kits are a must, so good start there! One of my "must haves" is definitely an RO/DI system to make water. Also, investing in a good glass scraper is important. There are some pretty inexpensive scrapers on the market, but I wish I had spent a little more money and bought a stronger one.

Welcome to R2R and the salty world. Take things slowly. Lots of knowledgeable and helpful people here who will support and advise you when needed. Buy decent test kits. Hannah, Red Sea or Salifert.
