I just noticed my clownfishes eye is bulging out of the socket. Has a white film on it and has a white string attached to it. Can anyone help tell me what is going on and how to treat it?
I inspect my fish every day and it just appeared today. I really don't want to lose this guy

Just the left eye? Is the fish still able to see its food? If so, you might just want to watch it for awhile, these eye issues can heal on their own.

Any idea if the fish could have injured itself?

If you want to intercede, you would need to move it to a treatment tank and dose it with Erythromycin (Maracyn 1).

Just the one eye I only noticed it because feeding time so he is still eating. Only thing I could think of would be maybe he got hurt on a vermetid worm husk. I've gotten stabbed by a few

As for white stringy's. . . Are you by chance feeding clown Mysis shrimp , brine shrimp or both?
This generally when fed gives a false sense of internal issues.

I do a everything from pellets, mysis, brine ect. However the white string is attached to its eyeball

That may likely be as Jay indicated: Post-injury
