So I am looking for help/ideas has to how I should plumb this tank. Main tank is 150g and sump is 90g. The tank has 2 overflow towers in back of each corner. Each tower was drilled with one 1" hole and one 3/4" hole. It was setup from old owner using both the 1" hole for drains to sump and returns on the 3/4".

The sump has 3 chambers right now. 12x27x7 1/2.

I don't have a skimmer now but looking for ideas/etc.

I have the same holes drilled and am experimenting with a bean animal setup where syphon & lower emergency is in one side, return and high emergency in the other. Mine came with a dual durso & dual return setup but that was WAY too loud and the dual returns weren't necessary for a 125G IMO. I wanted as silent as I could get without draping more ygly PVC up over the top of the tank, but with your canopy, you could probably do the dual syphon return over the top type system and be able to get enormous gph turnover through the tank

What would I do? Cut out the corner overflows, seal the holes with glass and silicone. Install a ghost overflow.
I thought about that. I am just not comfortable with sealing the holes and drilling it.

My plan was get this 150g going and then maybe move my fish from my 45g over and sale the 45.

not sure your situation, but sorry to hear that you are having a rough go...
plumbing it is easy with a little PVC and some gate valves.
Check out this video:
*it's not mine, so sorry if i am breaking rules, but this video is very helpful and easy to do with some PVC.
you could probably do this pretty inexpensively. Maybe even a few friends have some PVC & whatnot to donate for good karma

you can drill that tank no problem.

1. get a small tub of plumbers putty.. make a fat snake with your hands.
2. turn tank on its side, press snake into a circle.
3. fill circle with water
4. drill your hole with steady pressure.

The video that @IzzysPop shared is exactly what I was thinking about. Dual Herbie overflows, however you can definitely tune the amount of time it takes for the full siphon to completely settle by how deep under water the plumbing terminates in the sump. That extended gurgling would drive me crazy.

The other thing I would do differently is drill holes for the returns and add bulk heads instead of having the plumbing come up and over the tank. Just makes for a cleaner overall finish.

Well we drilled the back and added Fuji Slim 2000gph overflow. Took the towers completely out.

Are you going to go with a ghost overflow?
