Help identify red/orange algae

My tank is about four years old. A couple months ago this red/orange algae (or maybe sponge) starting growing. Does anyone know what this is? If it’s nuisance I would like to remove it before it spreads even more. I can’t tell if it is some sort of algae or a sponge.

Appears to be sponge
