Does anyone know what this coral is called? I’d like to do research on caring for it. It seems to be maintaining but I feel like it could do better if I knew how to handle it. Thanks for your help.

I also thought a leather coral. But I think it also resembles a Kenya tree or a colt coral. As for the color, it’s a pale pink…hard to tell from pictures. My mom picked it up for me and asked zero questions about it. Lol I is definitely soft coral. However it doesn’t open up any. It just expands with the light on and shrinks when they’re off. SMH I’m at a loss. Well I appreciate all the thoughts you’ve thrown out there. Thanks!!

could it be a pectinia?
It's not a mushroom, duncan or any other LPS or SPS coral. If it's a pectinia it's the most sickly example I've ever seen. Sticking with leather (not a toadstool).

im thrown off by the little arms its got. It definitely looks fleshy but the shape definitely reminded me of a pectinia

I’m going to vote it’s a Sinularia polydactyla. A better photo will help but it really reminds me of this species of Sinularia.

I don’t know what mushrooms you guys have been seeing that look like this…
