I apologise if this is an obvious one, but does anyone know what type of algae this is? It is on most of the rock under light.

To me, it doesn't seem to fit in any of the groups in any of the forum posts such as this one.

My tank has only had livestock in it for a few weeks (after cycling the rock for a few months). I've had some diatoms (which now seem to be reducing), but this is different - it is dark, short clumps of hair.

Sorry, it's not the best picture. I only had time to take one near the end of the day, I can take one tomorrow if it helps. The the small dark patches in this picture.
