I am looking for help IDing my nuisance algae. At first I had thought this was diatoms, but since this has been going on for 1 month+ I am starting to wonder. The tank is 2.5 months old and I understand that algae and diatoms are common for a tank this old. It is 10 gallons, with a small pair of clowns, a peppermint shrimp and a turbo snail. We have a few pieces of coral: ricordea, toadstool, zoas, acan and a frogspawn. Everything seems to be doing well, with the exception of the frogspawn. Amonia and nitrite are zero. Nitrates: 10ppm, phosphate: .12, Alk: 8.3. I can test for CA and MG but I dont have that information readily available. Additionally I purchase rodi water from my LFS. I don't have a TDS meter but will purchase one if recommend. Is this dinos or Is this hair algae? It isn't really snotty or have bubbles at the tips of the strands. Any input is massively appreciated! Thanks!
