Dare I suggest the ATI dimmable Sunpower?

That's a Canadian site^ cheaper on BRS.

If I could go back in time I would have gone full T% with LED supplment rather than the other way around. These LED fixtures are nice but I don't love the coverage or pricetag, or build quality. The Kessil's are the nicest but very pricey here.

I also have a 36" reefbrite hybrid MH with XHO strips, 3 caymen sun MH reflectors with M80 ballasts, 4 kessil a360x... uhmm.. probably more stuff that I have been "collecting".

ATI has the best reflectors out of all of them. This makes a huge impact on how much light is getting into the tank. I had a sun power and the thing could grow anything. Never tested par but it was powerful.

I run 2 reefbreeders photon 36 32 over my 36x22x22" tank. One would probably be enough but I set mine up as an acro tank so I wanted to be sure I had enough light. @VintageReefer has some very nice LPS that he keeps under photons.
I also love my ReefBreeder Photons! I was a die hard T5 gal but am sold out on the Photons.

Yea T5's will grow anything. I have a 6 bulb Giesamann 36" I can't give away, lol.
I also run Orphek bars and 1 bar is equal to 2 t5's.
I was a halide guy forever and now run all leds.
My current 9 month old 150 acro system.

You can do 3 quanta bars combo kit when they go back in stock. I have a meso blue on my 36" tank and its really nice. Great output. Im thinking of doing a 3 bar combo on my 48x20x20 that will be eventually set up. I think if you combine 2 reef crest daylights and 1 meso blue, you will easily achieve 300 par toward top of tank. Though, I like the idea of 2 meso and 1 rcd for a more popping look. I worry about it looking too white with 2:1
Do you have a pic of your setup? I'm debating between the 2 options right now.

I’ve been switching around the lights over my tank for years and observing how the acros respond.

What have you noticed since you switched from halides to full LED?

I noticed they grow and color corals as well as halides.
I can get a white halide look if I want with the Photons.
I only run white at 30% red and green 20% and the blues and violets at 80%. I run 300-350 par across the rocks on the 150.
If I run white at 100 I can get over 500 par so they have alot of power.
Th 16hds are what got me to switch to all leds. A couple people were telling me at a lfs that they won't grow acros and are a waste of money. I had a 18" aio cube sitting around so I gave it a go.
What I learned was leds are quite good at growing and coloring coral if you know what you are doing. I took it down at its peak of 10 month from start. It had a very halide look to it, imo.

Can you post a pic of your acros when they were under halides? It would be interesting to compare.
