Working from home on my Waterbox Marine X110.4

Cabin fever was getting to me so I got back in the game after being away for a while.
My goal is Zoa dominant tank with some LPS.

Waterbox Marine X110.4
Reef Octopus Regal 150INT skimmer
Reef Octopus Varios-4 return pump
AI Nero 5 wavemaker x 2
Kessil A160WE with rigid stand x 2 ( zoa dominant mixed)
XP Aqua 4 sensor ATO
Spectrapure 4 stage RODI
58 gallon food grade pickle barrel x 2

Deliveries are already starting to come in. It's starting to sink in now. I'm getting excited.
Tank is due 3rd or 4th week of Dec.

I would have preferred to set up on the main floor. This is were I spend most of my time. But it makes way more sense in the basement. I'm fortunate to have a fish station, water station and a floor drain, all in the utility room next door.

I should start on my water changing station while I wait. Those rectangular water storage tanks seem to be a real space saver. I just can't seam to find one in that would deliver to Montreal for a reasonable fee.

The "floor drain" you have pictured actually looks like a clean out for your septic/sewer line. I would be wary of using that if thats the case because it will become a vent for not so pleasant gases to make their way into your home. Most drains don't typically have a solid plug in them like that. Just wanted to give you the heads up. Hopefully not the case but as soon as you pull that plug you will know one way or another.... they do make drain pipe saddles if your goal is just a drain for an ro system. And in a pinch during a flood you could still pull the plug to drain the rm.

You're right. The roots of an old maple tree out front wrapped itself around the sewer pipe and caused a small backup a few years ago. No serious damage, just a 3 foot diameter of sewage water around the drain hole, the floor slopes in. I get it roto-rooted every other year now.

I've never noticed any odour. I don't really have any plans for the hole other than it serving in case of a "worse case scenario", to drain the 110 .4 gallons and minimize damage.

My biggest concern is over. Saltwater mixing station is finally complete. What a relief. Total floor space 48 x 30. Does the design look familiar?

Waterbox 110.4 ordered mid November arrived mid January. Packaging was over engineered. Sat nice and cozy in a unheated garage while I prepared the room.
