Need more information please...
Tank size, how long has it been running, parameters (alk, ca, mg, phos, nitrate, ph, salinity, temp)
Have you had any parameter swings?
Without the additional information, it will be hard for us to help you.

i've had this happen to some of my zoa's. was usually due to a rapid swing of some sort.

System is 100gallon, alk 8.0, Cal 400, Mg 1380, salinity 1.025, temp 23. Alk swing down to 7.3 almost a month ago. Now it is stable. I don’t test any other para meter for years now. Happens to me a few years ago, lost some Zoa but never understand what really happened. Right now, 90% of my Zoas are ok.

They need more light is part of it. Also I’ve seen the umbrella syndrome happen in my tanks when I have either low salinity (I keep it at 1.026) or low nitrates. Zoa like dirty water and they need some junk in there to keep them going.
