Try to ignore the lighting and GHA ...smh...
My tank is about 2-3 months old. It is a 150 gal Tall so it is 4' x 2' x 30" tall. Currently the rock I have is just stacked in there, it isn't glued or anything. I tried using the rule of 1/3rds but I don't think it has turned out very well.
The challenges I have are:
1) The tank is tall but not very long so it is difficult to fill the vertical space.
2) There isn't a lot of places to put corals
3) It just isn't very visually interesting.
I like all of the caves, nooks, and crannies. I don't like the top half at all. I really want to use some of the shelf rock to create some ledges or cliffs that jut out but I'm not really sure how to accomplish that.
The base of my rock work is 3 or 4 very large rocks. I'm not sure if that is good or bad.
My main goal are:
1) Create something more visually interesting
2) Create more space to place corals
3) Keep the caves for fish and shrimp
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
