I bought some Arag alive for my new tank. My existing tank is sitting where the new one was going, it's a 45 gal and the new is a 62 gallon.

I was going to transfer all fish, corals, etc to buckets, put in my new arag alive sand in the new tank just from the bags and then add about 40ish gallons of old water and then the rest new water. Any issues with this? I'll need to add all the fish and corals right after as well.

I wasn't sure if the live sand would throw things out of wack or not. Definitely not using the old sand.

I though maybe even throw a HOB filter on the back as well to grab and sand floating around.

The first thing to do is mini model what unrinsed sand does

Take a handful of that sand from the bag, put into a cup of water

See how cloudy that is

Don't do that to your display. Pre rinse it.
