Hi, I got this small purple tang Saturday. He seemed to be fine just really shy when I placed him the the qt. Today when I got home from work, I thought he was dead. I grabbed the net to scoop him out, but he darted away. He just lays on his side on the bottom or floats upside down.

Is the swollen abdomen or swim bladder?

Can you get any closer pictures? Could be any number of things. Unfortunately this seems like a pretty far along problem, and might not be savable.

With that said, lets see what we can come up with.

Is it breathing heavy?

Cloudy eyes?

White spots? If so, how many? Can you count them, or too many to count?

What medications do you have on hand right this moment? This seems like a rather dire situation imo, so what you have on hand is likely to be very relevant.

The tang doesn't have any white spots or cloudy eyes. Belly is swollen.

I have fritz coppersafe and imagitarium bacterial infection remedy. I added the infection remedy.

This was early yesterday. Sorry about the dirty glass
