Hi everyone I seem to be having trouble with my ricordea's. They dont seem to full size and my 1 green ricordea has shrink badly.
I have him in a baby fish catcher. The bottom picture is where he used to be. I have no idea what has happened he seems to be shrinking. The others arent exactly full size either.

How long has it been shrunken like that? Is that GHA on the rock in the first pic?

Moving it to the fish catcher most likely just stressed it out more.

Its been like that for a couple of weeks so I moved him to the catcher with my other coral. I know I have like a thick layer of black carpet like algae that grows on there. I siphon it off every week. Eveything else I have noticed is growing rapidly. Except 2 other coral thats not fully extended. My other ricordea has shrink.

The algae is probably the reason.

I think I have a stray current somewhere as my finger was tingling like I cut my nail to short. I have also lost 2 fish in a week. I have a multimeter but have no idea How to use one.

I have about 10 Florida Ricordeas and all of them have grown larger except one. That one has shrunk from more than 1" to less than a 1/4". Of course, it was the expensive one. Has your shrinking green one survived?

Still shrinking until I sent my Fluval marine 3.0 lights bk as the cyan leds stopped working. I have found my old Fluval marine 2.0 and using it and suddenly all my ricordea are expanding. Never tested the stray current as I have no idea what to do.

I really dont understand this. Does anybody know why as my fluval 3.0 was 10% pink, 100% cyan, 100% violet, 100% blue and 90% white. The 2.0 is just on at max brightness.

When I get my fluval 3.0 back im going to reduce the white light to 50% but everything else 100%. Give that a try or max out the white but reduce the rest.
