Help to identify algae

Any thoughts what this algae may be? looks similar to dinos or diatoms (brown in color and sort of snotty)to the naked eye but no air bubbles from what i can see. It seems to grow on the rocks,coral, and glass pretty prevalently if left alone and it causes the zoas etc to close up
