Hi,

So I have my tank set up about 6 months and everything was going fine until this brown algae showed up. It's mostly on the sand bed. At first I thought it was dinos but now I'm not sure. It someone could help identify it that would be great.

My parameters are all normal and I have been doing 10% water changes every second day to try combat it. I have also lowered my light intensity but it doesnt seem to be going.

The tank is a Fluval evo 13.5 gallon. I run a bag of chemipure blue elite, a bag of phosguard and purigen. In the other chamber I have a small refugium on an alternate light cycle.

I have 2 clowns and an orange spot goby.

Any input would be great!

Are you using rodi water; what's your temperature, whats your light cycle, whats your phosphate and nitrate levels? Is it possible your refugium light is making it into tank? Might help someone answer better
