Good evening guys,

I just checked my levels and they seemed a little high. What do you guys think?

Calcium 480 (API Test)
Alk 12.8 (Salifert Test)
Magnesium 1350 (Salifert Test)

Yeah, they do seem somewhat high compared to what most reefers try for; do you have confidence in your test kits?

The test kits are brand new so I don't know. I do have a kalk reactor that turns on 11 times at night for 2 minutes each time. Im using a BRS 50 ml pump. I guess I can take it offline to see what happens.

Your levels are pretty much right in line with a fresh batch of RSCP salt.

Those parameters are high by ‘normal’ standards, but the Coral Pro is designed to promote faster coral growth as part of their Accelerated growth program, which I followed for over 12 months, and that’s why the parameters are higher.

Also if you combine this salt with something like ABC+ skeletal elements you may not need to dose anything else depending on tank size.

I think it’s designed to make everything a little easier

Cool thanks I'll look into it. I have an 80 gallon tank with a sump with mostly LPS a few SPS and some mushrooms.
