I’m down to my last Vanderbilt Chromis... my green chromis is not a fan of other chromis. Him and the remaining Vanderbilt seem to get along much better than the others. We will see how it goes. I’d like to get more Vanderbilts ideally... I really liked that idea of having 3-5 of the little guys. They are super quick and cute, I want more if I see them available again. Maybe if my green chromis fully accepts this Vanderbilt he will be more willing to accept a 2nd batch of Vanderbilts. Thoughts?

I am one of the few it seems that have been able to keep groups of chromis long term. Had a group of 3 in my last tank for 7 years. Did start out with a few more than that, but don't think the dwindling of the group was due to aggression.

I have never tried mixing different types of chromis though, so I can't give any advise on trying the vanderbilts again. Good luck with whatever you decide to do with them.

The tank is looking great.

Thank you! What kind of chromis did you have success with in a small group?

Just the regular green Chromis. The largest one was probably close to 3”when I shut the tank down after 7 years. The big one is still swimming in a buddies tank today. That is over 9 years in a tank for that fish.
