Had to soak my gyres 3 times total to get them clean. They were bad. Stuff is blowing around my tank so much now it looks like I added a additional powerhead. I should clean them more often even though that really wasn’t very fun, especially detailing the blades.
I also did my par readings in both tanks today before I send the supporting members par meter off to @MSB123 tomorrow. @dantimdad i’ll be sending the frags out tomorrow morning as well. The day got away from me with cleaning powerheads.
I was shocked how low my par is as well. In the 90 my sandbed is 130, mid is 160, top of scape middle of tank is 186, 230 2 inches below water surface. Even spread, the back inch of the tank is the same numbers just 10 par less. This is sad news for my sps. I’m not sure what I should do. I haven’t had the growth nor color I’m looking for and this explains it.
