Lol true. I did see some mod adds salt to his filter sock if the salinity is low. I thought that was questionable, maybe it’s ok, who knows!
They say to add salt to water not water to salt, so as long as you’ve weighed it and aren’t adding it willy nilly, I imagine it would work just as well.

I can’t believe the prices in the US. They take these macro shots and make them look all beautiful and big and colorful. You get one and you can barely even see it. It’ll take months or years to grow out where it looks good in your tank.

I know we have had this conversation before, got these two last weekend so day 9 with me just starting.
Front one 2 inches plus, £25, rear blue polyp one similar size, £45, third pic ia a 2 inch ball, also 45?

I'll get a close up once the lights are up more, I bet someone has the blue polyp one under a stupid name and matching price tag your side of the pond! ;)
I can get a whole colony of acro, the size of my hand for for around $50-75 US. The only problems is, they’re freshly cut from the sea and they usually aren’t handled well and have a lower survival rate than aquacultured frags and colonies. So hit or miss really.

That is super cheap, Mexico prices for acros are pretty much aligned with US so I need to sell a kidney to buy all the corals I want.

Too bad we aren’t born with 3 kidneys. I’d sell one as well.

All my Sea lettuce(ulva) is officially gone from my 90! I’m glad I didn’t make any hasty decisions and rip out the scape and peroxide it or anything like that. All you need is a tang and some time.

47 by 27 homemade trusses and tornado ties. Truth be told I placed the footers 10 inches too wide on the first attempt. Live and learn. I’ll let ya know when the professor/pool lady shows up! @Bleigh

Questionable decision of the day: I added two rocks I had sitting outside for a year to the 90. I soaked in RODI for 24hrs, hoping I don’t mess stuff up. I want to get them cycled and coralline coated so I can do a major rescape sometime and utilize them.
