I will get back to you on the palurdariums. One of the freshwater forums I follow has some good ones.
You have Aquaforest Aquariums in the bay area and Albany Aquarium might be of help. Aquaforest is the local ADA aquarium importer and the have tanks designed just for your purposes.

Gorgeous!

Dendroboard is the only forum I know of that has good builds for paludariums. There are some Facebook groups but they don’t have a lot of activity, though they do have some gorgeous builds.

I see. Thanks for the confirmation that it is a decent forum for paludariums. My main question I can’t find an answer to: should I get a tank like an exo terra(not a fan of the front vents obstructing the front viewing panel), or should I do a tall aquarium from petco dollar per gallon sale and build my own? I don’t know where to begin. I don’t even know if I want tropical, neo-tropical, etc. I like the look of super misty viv’s that have a thick layer of fog on the forest floor. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Ok gotcha! I’m actually a member there, under majerah1 :)
Tricon Tech on the forum...just not very active since the site was hacked a year or two back. I do drop in once and a while to get inspired! I have the makings of several freshwater planted tanks but due to remodel plans they are just sitting on a pallet in my shop right now.

I'm going to harass, er, um, I mean look you both up. (I'm not very active either.)

Not sure what I want to keep yet. Any suggestions?
I’ve had several species of dart frogs over the years. I’ve had some for the past 8 years. I’ve got the largest exoterra. 36x18x36 I believe. Set it up with a mistking misting system and all like plants and bromeliads. It’s extremely easy to care for if set up correctly. Basically just pruning, cleaning the glass and feeding fruit flies. Since you will need to prune often, having doors in the front makes things easy.

I always thought they have a similar look to a reef tank, but without as much work. I recently got back into having a saltwater aquarium a few months ago. The nice thing about dart frogs is that they are active in the day, and there are tons of different colors and varieties in behavior.

It sounds beautiful! Do you have any pictures?

Does the salty air from your reef have any effect on the nearby viv/paludarium’s plants or animals?

I haven’t had any issues with it. I replaced the screen lid with a glass panel to keep humidity in.

I made it a peninsula and built the stand for it as well. I have a sump underneath where the water collects and is pumped back into the tank for a waterfall. There is a computer fan inside the plant covered wall. I made a chamber that sucks air in from the bottom and blows it out the top. I have the misting system and a fogging unit which keeps the humidity up. I have 2 species, which is frowned upon, but as long as you don’t provide them an area to breed, you won’t make hybrids, which is what people done like. You don’t want to dilute the bloodlines.
