Hi Guys
I was re-aquascaping my tank yesterday so I have better swim holes for larger fish in my 200g tank
last night I saw what looks to be a cut on my Heniochus Black and White butterfly fish. it is on both sides of the fish. this fish is swimming and eating
please let me know what you think this is and how to treat it.
i have Pimafix and melafix at the house

pics attached

thanks

How long have you had the fish?
Can you get pictures under white light?
Agreed, don’t use the pima or melafix.
It may heal on its own.

Agree what the heck Jay as saltwater fish have the ability to heal and heal quickly . Just keep an eye on it to assure it does not become bacterial or infected.
PimaFix and Melafix pretty useless and nothing more than a tonic containing teak tree oil

Feed it extra good food to bolster health and natural recovery. I need to get some live clams but the tides have been unhelpful for collecting fresh food lately. I almost bought a couple of clams from the meat counter but I'm too lazy to shuck them.
