I purchased a clean up crew from world wide corals which came with a few different hermit crabs. Almost all of the little tiny ones have died and then some of the larger snails died too. I have just had something strange happen. I think that one of the larger hermit crabs took over a turbo snail shell. Unfortunately I am new to hermit keeping and didn't realize that I needed to keep emty shells around for them to move into. I am wondering now if the tiny one just didn't have a bigger shell to move into and that's why they have died. I wish the CUC would have come with some kind of instructions for this so I wouldn't have wasted $$$. Any one with any thoughts?

What are your water parameters?

how did you acclimate them? Inverts are sensitive and need a bit more time
I did a normal acclimate in a bucket with a drip for 4 hours. At the time my nitrates were high, but we have done a water change. Now my nitrates are at 0
Phosphate 7.8
Ammonia . 25

I'd say your ammonia is a little high and phosphate
How old is your tank
