I can't tell what type of hermit crab this is but it has been in a storage bin for a few years with only live rock/light and I guess algae to eat but a few years ago I thought he was gone, I just recently pulled this rock out and he has survived, but I could have sworn that it was a red legged crab a few years ago. It has black legs with blue dots on the legs, red antennaand seems to like green hair algae allot. Does anyone know what this is?

Did you put the rocks in storage due to hair algae? No ideas on the color change, but if that's all he's been eating for a few years he may be conditioned to eat HA.
