Been out of the hobby for nearly 25 years, reef keeping that is. I had discus tanks for a while, hurricane Rita wiped em out. :( Just getting back in, wifey had me restore my old Oceanic 75 gal for her and set it up for African chiclids. Now I got the bug again. :) Lots of changes in the reef hobby since my last foray.
I found another 75 gal Oceanic for sale on FB, now restoring it for a reef. Shopping for lights, skimmers, etc. Holy cow! Sticker shock!
I'm pretty handy though, and will DIY a lot of stuff. Hope to glean some info from here, as well as contribute what I find out on my own. :)
Thank Y'all in advance!

Welcome to the forum! Most of the things we did 25 years ago still work. My tank now is actually pretty similar except for LED instead of Metal Halide. There are some conveniences though like dosers and ATOs that make life a bit easier.
