Hey Y'all,

I decided to do my tank build via video, so no lengthy write up. I think I got most of the high points. I will post some more pics and vids as I go. Of course, I had best intentions to post along the way, but here we are, so I hope y'all like it!

Video is too long to upload. Youtube link:

Nice NSA rockscape. Those jutting rocks look pretty cool. What intensity are you running your lights?

I like Austin Aqua farms. Great LPS selection.
I am at 81% I started at 40% for the acclimation cycle and have restarted a couple times

Okay Finally some updates....

I have posted a couple Youtube videos of my tank. A couple things I forgot to mention in my videos.

1. My yellow wrasse died....inexplicably...no disease no other fish affected... RIP Ron. ( hart attack is the best guess. I have a post about it)
2. One of the cardinals died....totally explained....the female turned on the male after the 2nd lost brewed. It was brutal.
3. Aside from the aforementioned fish all other are alive and I added a halichoeres wrasse...he is doing great, but is shy and was hiding.
3. about half my corals grew up from frags, the other half were small colony size obviously scolys and the such were purchased.
4. I have a rock of non photosynthetic gorgonians in the back, the phyto (not alive) I have been feeding does great, really helps the lps too
5. emerald crabs...big part of my CUC. I think they are underrated and I think they get a bad rap for picking on coral. I think in reality when they are poking at LPS they are picking algae off exposed skeleton...my opinion.
6. I have a healthy amount of red ogo macro algae hidden in the back corner, really helps that pod population.
7. For filtration I also use about 2/3 cup activated carbon and 2/3 cut seachem nitrate reducer in filter bags in a filter cup.
8. For anybody unfamiliar the apparatus under the erlenmeyer flask is a magnetic stirrer. I am using it to mix the phyto while dosing so it is suspended in liquid. It was under $20 on amazon and I will use the apex controls to manage the timing with the dosing pump I am using (cheap amazon dosing pump, effectiveness tbd).
9. Video is shot with a yellow filter, it just shows detail a bit better...
10. video is split in 2 because my 4 year old made daddy a drawing...frustrating but adorable.

I think that is it! The rest is in the videos. Thanks for following along!
