I was mixing up a batch of my Tropic Marin Bio-Actif Sea Salt. While I was waiting for things to settle I decided to read the back (probably should have done this earlier :) ). On the back it says that when measuring conductivity of freshly prepared Bio-Actif saltwater the conductometer will show ca with 10% low results. (I assume due to the carbon dosing components)

They go on to further recommend instead measuring Specific gravity with a hydrometer..

Doesn't the Hanna Salinity tester measure conductivity using the sodium chloride curve ?

Would this mean that when testing Tropic Marin Bio-Actif Sea Salt it will then measure 10% lower than what it is? (kind of to bad I am about through the batch of salt before noticing this oops. )

I think I answered my own question but would still love it if Hanna chimes in. I mixed a 20g batch of Tropic Marin Bio-Actif Sea Salt overnight and tested it with my Hanna, Refractometer and my backup Hydrometer.

Hydrometer was 35ppt, Hanna was 34.9ppt and refractometer was 35.5ppt. Probably nothing to worry about.
