Just tested my Magnesium and it came out to 1560 ppm on my Red Sea Pro Mg kit.

Should I stop or lower the dosage of ATI Essentials #3?

My Alk is reading 10.22 dkh and my Ca is reading 445 ppm.

I was only dosing 10 mL daily of 1, 2, and 3 on a roughly 90 gallon system.

Keep in mind ATI suggest alk at 7.5 to 8.
Try lowering your dosing for all three.
Are you still doing water changes?

Getting my alk in that range has been a struggle Most salts mix much higher than that and a 100% water change isn't possible without the purchase of several more brute cans. lol.

No, I haven't performed a water change in quite a few months now.

I set the #1 to 5ml per day, the #2 to 5ml per day and turned of the dosing of #3. I'll see how that goes for a while. I don't have too many demanding corals, a few acans and 3 small euphyllia frags. I have a local frag show I will be attending at the beginning of March, hoping to pick up several colored sticks :)

Yep, it sounds like you have very little stock/demand to utilize the elements.
Keep in mind mag test are not really that good. I don't even bother testing mine anymore. I'm only testing alk and nutrients.

I first altered my mag dose too but realized I'm missing out on the elements in #3. Now I dose all three at equal amounts super easy and great results.

I agree with CoralNerd, I would even suggest pausing dosing entirely for a few days as needed to bring at least your alk back down to recommended levels. Depending on your load this can take hours to days, since your load is light it might take a while.

Day 2 of not dosing, and Alk is down to 9.38 :)

The Mg isn’t going to drop much, do yall think that Mg of around 1500 is going to be an issue going forward with dosing?
