The Mitras LX7 are designed for "open" aquariums, too high or even condensing humidity or dripping water from above are not allowed

use in a canopy is possible as long as these conditions are met

for tanks with canopies we have our Mitras Lightbar - similar LEDs/driver/dimming features, but water proof IP67:

Hi Matthias: concerning LEDs, the only difference between the new LX7 and the LX6 are the new 385 nm LEDs, or there are other differences?

Thanks

We just published the details on our website, at the moment we have only the German version, but the English version will be done by Thursday latest.

But I think you will find all important information about spectrum, LEDs, PAR performance etc. already here
https://www.aquariumcomputer.com/de/produkte/ghl-beleuchtung/mitras-lx-7000-series/

even when it is German.

I will announce here when English version has been published.

No moisture present , but it does get a bit warm ! although the fixtures do employ active cooling would this be an issue ? I will also be installing some in cabinet cooling fans to help mitigate against this issue.

I don't think this is a temperature issue here. Of course the fixture performance will be reduced (the warmer the worse the efficiency), but the light will still work even when it is warm under the canopy.

Sometimes it happens that water condenses at the inner side of a canopy and this water drips from there onto the fixture - this can destroy the light over the time - as most other lights which are designed for aquariums without canopy.

Yes, the PLM-PWC card will be needed for the ProfiLux to wirelessly transmit data to the LX 7 fixture.
