Hello I am new to the hobby of saltwater aquarium. I have a Juwel Rio 180 and I have a fish only tank with four clown fish a fox face 2 shrimps the blue tang and live rock and sand. After I changed rock placement I saw some white spot on hippo tank and on fox face. Later on that week I saw those spots on one of the clowns. I thought it was because they were stressed from the change. After one more week fox face and blue tang was still with some white and black spots also blue tang was going crazy scratching everywhere. I tried treating them with Oodinex I saw fish getting better but not fully well. I did 30% water change and I have a second try with oodinex. After that and while blue tang was better I lost it. It was hidding all day long. I tried closing the lights for some days but still the same. My question is do I have to quarantine foxface and hippo tang and treat it like they have ich or velvet?

Welcome to Reef2Reef!

Oodinex is a “reef safe” product and it has been reported to have some trouble stopping heavy infections.
Coppersafe in a treatment tank would work better. However, once an infection has gotten to the point where fish have begun to die, it is sometimes difficult to cure the others in time.
If you can post a short video of the fish I should be able to tell you f the fish have ich or velvet….

I don’t see any rapid breathing, so the issue isn’t velvet (that’s good). Do you see the fish holding in front of the shrimp to be cleaned?
I do think copper will be your best course of action.

Yes many times. And now blue tang stays hidden I have no idea if eating but when I try to find it it swims like crazy and trying to hide somewhere. If I use copper I have to do it in other tank right?

Yes - you really should not run copper in your main display.

So I have to have a tank to QT those two for the beginning. I think I ll go with Seachem copper for a week and i ll see the results.
