Hippo tang ich?!?!

Hey everyone!
I’m wondering if this is ich or scratches.
This hippo has been in QT with copper 1.5-2.5 for a month and has had his dose of general cure.
I put him in a he main display and he wedged himself in some rock work, I took him out and then he wedged I self deeper.
So I’m wondering if it’s scratches or is he going to have to go back to QT?

Does not appear to be ich, but rather lymphocystis which is a viral condition and not parasitical.
Keep an eye on it to see if more dots appear over the next 48 hours. Lympho will not multiply as quickly as ich will.
If it turns out to be ich, you will want to treat in a separate quarantine tank using coppersafe or Copper Power for a FULL 30 days at 80 degrees monitoring with a reliable copper test kit like Hanna at therapeutic range 2.25-2.5

lympo is virus and has o cure, it will naturally fall off with prestine water quality and add selcon to food.

I'm going to be the odd man out here - the spots on the caudal fin, in a group like that, does not appear to be Lymphocystis. Lymphocystis tends to form first on the trailing fin edges, not in the center of the caudal peduncle like that. Indeed, I don't ever recall seeing Lymphocystis lesions there on a fish.
The spots on the dorsal fin could more easily be Lymphocystis.

However, this isn't ich either, the trophonts of ich tend to be randomly spaced, not all in a group like that.

Now that it is in the main display, if it was carrying anything, that has moved with it, so I wouldn't rush at removing it unless its condition changes for the worse.

The spots are in a rough line, could be just a scrape.

Very high. Maintain good water quality and diet and it will fall off by itself

I’ve been watching him and the clowns.
He’s been rubbing himself on some of the rock work. Clowns and goby who have been his QT tank makes seem 100% fine
