It's been a week after I got my hippo after quarantine from a friend. It's in my DT. Eating very well. Today saw a spot on his eye.

Is this injury or fluke or indication of Ich. So far no flashing.

Should I move to QT again? PXL_20210325_172409510.jpg PXL_20210325_172544782.jpg

The spot on the left eye does not seem to be ich. In the last pic, in the black palette mark, there is a white spot, but I don't see it in the same view in the pic above, is that on the glass?

If it *is* ich, it's in your tank already, so no real rush, you should let it go for a day or two and see if new spots develop. The fish has good body condition and good color.

Yes initially there were some dust. But one spot on the right side is always there even after cleaning the glass. and one on the tail.

Tail has a white spot

That spot on the tail *could* be ich, in this pic, the tail is opened more, and I can see it better, but the spot on the eye does look like an injury, a minor bump. I still think you should wait a day or so to see if new spots develop.

@Jay Hemdal Here are the pics taken moments back and to me it looks good and no ICH. Looks like more of dust yesterday. Also injury on the eye is no more. Both side looks good. My Tank had ICH probably 1 year back and went FALLOW 75 days. Last 10 months all Specimens are healthy. But you never know. I do quarantine my fishes. But this one due to promise and i know this guy, went directly to DT.

But i wont do for the peace of mind probably.

Not to be A "Debbie Downer" but remember - the life cycle of ich is that the first few spots will drop off, form tomonts, which after a few days to a week, will produce new theronts that swim out looking for a fish to infect. This effect causes people to think that the ich "went away" while it was actually just moving to the next phase of its life cycle. I would observe the fish closely for at least two weeks to watch for a resurgence.

@Jay Hemdal Is this Lymph or Ich. Two spots overnight. Size seems to be bigger than ICH. Could you please see. No Flashing so far. Still eats a lots, Mysis, Nori, Pellets. All dipped in Garlic and Selcon.

Do you think i should observe for some more time before i take it out for QT. I dont want to stress him if he is fighting on his own still

How’s the tang doing?
I realized this thread is two months old, but I think the white cloud on the eye could be a bacterial infection from flashing. Just my two cents, I would be more concerned about these spots:
