As I mentioned in another thread, I'm in the process of upgrading my 40 breeder to a 120. I actually bought the 120 over a year ago and had it in my garage. I meant to set it up right away but then I got laid off and couldn't afford to do so. So in the meantime, I converted my 40b to a reef. Well, after about 7 months of unemployment I finally found another job and could start my build.

I've been building this thing for what seems like forever! Ok, it's only been about a year but I've been piecing together equipment and building my own stand and canopy. I don't have a lot of spare time so it's taken a lot longer than I would have liked.

So on to the build....

Here's my equipment list:

120 AGA tank 48" x 24"x 24"
40 breeder sump
ATI Powermodule 8x54 T5 dimmable fixture
Reefbrite 48" LED Blue
Eheim 1262 return pump with a SeaSwirl on the return
3 Vortech MP40W ES powerheads with battery backup
Super Reef Octopus XP-2000 Cone Protein Skimmer
Korallin calcium reactor
RKE controller

More to come!

Here's the skined stand and the internal overflows removed. I'm going with an external bean overflow so I removed the internal AGA overflows and covered the holes.

Action shots over Ronnie, aka "Flamron", helping me cut the slot in the tank for the BeanAnimal external overlfow.

Here are some pics of the tank with the rock structures in place. The tank sat with the seed rock in it for about 6 weeks with lights out to cycle.
