Heya! 2 months in and I'm still finding new critters in my live rock. I had to move my rock around today to catch fish and I noticed this little guy. I have 2 red mithrax that hitchhike, but this one looks different. Any ideas? Thank in advance!

Emerald crab! We love ours and actually bought him to help control bubble algae. We have seen him attack the tiny little bubbles and have not witnessed him feasting on any corals!
Yay!! He was a fast little bugger!

Well y'all seem to have the same thoughts! The tips of the claws are whitish so you may be onto something @Supa
White blunted tips is what a good emerald crab has… some have very pointed tips and can cause lots of damage(accidentally of coarse) that’s the bad ones

My emeralds live in my euphyllias. They are cute but if I ever catch them eating my euphyllias were gonna have to talk. If you flip it over you can sex it. I find that the girls ones do less harm and more benefit to a tank but to each there own.

I've learned a lot from y'all! Thank you! This one was in the cave my 2 Peppermint shrimp spend the most time in. I only have a frag of palythoa at the moment and nobody seems interested in them!
I’ve got 2 emerald crabs they aren’t bad to have.
