Had some old dry rock laying around from a tank I never started. Back then I had started making the scape but had a bunch of pieces left. Decided to start glueing them all together to see what I could come up with. Tell me what you think.

It looks great!!

What I found with my own NSA scape, is that I did not have enough horizontal space to place corals. These NSA scapes look wonderful, but at this point, I question their functionality.

That said, this is just my own opinion. What matters is what YOU like, and what direction you intend to take your tank in.

Thanks, for I did try to think about some horizontal surfaces, but I assume there will still be spots that aren’t “usable”

I’m curious how much bio filter is lost with NSA? Especially if tanks is bare bottom.

I see alot of unhappy fish and very limited coral mounting options. Other then that it looks great. Seriously though you will redo it once you get life in the tank. Functionality is not a strong point of nsa scapes.

What I found with my own build is the tendency to aim towards building UP rather than OUT. Long branches with flat surfaces give you better coral mounting options. My attempt at NSA produced a visually beautiful piece. As I stocked my tank I discovered that I really have very little space to mount corals to and still be able to see them.

Scape looks good. As Jedi mentioned, I made a scape that looked pleasant to me. But when it came down to gluing corals, I didn't have as much space as I would have liked. Just one thing to consider when you're scaping.
