So I recently bought my first favia coral (fascination favia), and I was wondering how aggressive they are. From what I have read, they like moderate lighting and low flow, so I planned on placing it a few inches from my neon candy cane. Would this be ok?

Probably not. They have very long sweeper tentacles that come out at night and pack a powerful sting. You want them 2-3 inches from any other corals, more than that if it is a good sized favia.

I don't know if it's a Favia or a Favites. But I have another similar frag to this, behind the gorgonian, that has sweepers that closely resemble the ones from a Lepto.

Hope that helps, cheers.

Holy cr*p. Those are longer than the sweeper tentacles I have seen on my hammer coral!

Yeah, I wasn't expecting sweepers like that from that coral- I love watching it. I actually had to move the mp10 up higher because one of the sweepers got sucked into the pump. I think I have a clip of that on my phone.

Thats insane, my fasinations as been in the tank for 2-3 months now and ive never seen them anywhere near that long. Maybe its because its still a smaller frag? I've never seen mine longer then this...

Maybe, I’m not sure.
Here’s my other frag, it’s slightly different than the other one, but you can see the difference in sweepers.

Those are just normal tentacles not sweepers.

Yours just hasn't felt the urge to kill yet (at least as far as you have seen)
