It’s 2021, and I wonder how bad are collection methods used for fish across Southeast Asia, especially Indonesia and the Philippines. For those of you who’ve been doing this for a long time, have you seen improvements over the years with fish exported out of these countries?
Which species are still prone to being collected using cyanide or other destructive methods, and which species generally aren’t? Thanks.
If you have any experiences with confirmed / suspected cases of cyanide use / other destructive collection methods in the fish you’ve kept, please share.
What about fish from other regions?
