Maybe a combination of things , I would think that the lashes out means they're happy were they're at. The palys in my tank that have the lashes fully out are the ones that are growing really good. Hey tuna bullet you get those stiggys at rap?

Low nutrient tank and high indirect flow is when I got mine to be like that

Low nutrient sounds interesting. The tentacles would be stretching out more because they are looking for food.

I think most of it depends on genetics, and then those paly's/zoas prefer very low flow, IME. You can see in the pic, some of my zoas are normal in very low flow whereas the Stiggy Marley's are crazy big/long (size of a quarter). I did notice improvement in head size when I started dosing aminos and turning off the wave maker.

I agree its gotta be genetics!! I have some pin wheels growing right next to some sweet dreams and x-men, they get the same flow and lighting but the pin wheels skirts are really long! i think it looks beautiful and wish the others would do the same, but they are all happy so im not going to mess with them :)

someone who is selling zoas on here ALL with crazy long lashes said he does aminos and also iodine and he said he thought flow paid a big part, not sure if he meant high flow or what!
