My experience has been that they grow slowly, particularly at first. Once they encrust the growth rate is faster but that seems to be typical. I'll try to get some pictures up this evening.

I've had mine a little over a year. started as a 3/4" stick. it is now fully encrusted around the plug and maybe 1 1/2" tall, but the braches comeing off would still be pretty hard to frag. they're only like 1/4". It has deff been growing faster now that it's encrusted.

Agree. Mine (if that's what it is, came from snipersps before his crash) did nothing for almost a year while it encrusted. Now it is growing quite rapidly.

It is a slow grower until it encrusts. Is it worth buying? IMO yes. It does like high lighting to keep the red.

Here is mine. Got a small frag from maximus years ago. It grew super slow up until a year ago. It finally branched off and is growing faster.
