After a month of switching salts, i can now state some observations. Seems like the red sea coral pro salt doesnt precipitate like the reef crystal i was using. There was a change though in my preparation. Before with the rc, i had a huge brownout issue in my mixing containers if I stored premixed saltwater too long while circulating with a powerhead. I was also losing alkalinity via precipitation (from 10.5 down to 8.5). After my switch, the browning stopped. After a month, alk dropped from 11.0 to only 10.6 with the RSCP salt. The one caveat being I only used the powerheads for a few hours while mixing the salt. After that, i turned them off until a new batch of salt would be needed. I associate the browning with the RC crystals containing organics like everyone else. The precipitation is probably due to the powerheads.
