Long story but I have some LR in the mail from fiji that lands in B.C today and will apparently take 5 days to make it to me. Ive never had rock in transit for that long so I'm worried it'll be completely dead with no microfauna at all by the time it gets here. Its being shipped in water. Has anyone else had LR in the mail for near 2 weeks? Was anything left alive on the rock by the time you got it?

2 weeks!! I would assume everything will be dead. You will be able to tell once you open the bag with the smell

Apparently they store the rock in a system with powerheads and skimmers until shipping out so its not as long out of water as I thought. Itll be 5 days in transit when I get it, still seems like a really long time to me.

Inverts may not make it. Shipped in water the rock should be good. How many pounds did you get?
40 pounds, the LR I seeded my tank with didn't have alot of life on it so I ordered some straight from fiji but its a nightmare shipping it here. Decided to pay extra to have it packed in water because I had a feeling it would take awhile getting here. Wouldn't care if whatever wild corals are on the rock died off but I'm really hoping for some micro cuc like limpets micro brittle stars etc. Thank you for responding you gave me some hope that this wasn't wasted money lol. I guess worst case even without hitchhikers its still room for more coral.
