How long do pulsing Xenia take to “root”?

Hi,
I made ten frags of pulsing Xenia that i intend to bring to the LFS tomorrow. That number is now down to eight thanks to my emerald crab. I am worried about the rest, but am unsure of what to do. How long will it take for the Xenia to establish a good enough “footing” on its frag where it won’t get plucked right off? Right now the only thing keeping them attached is glue...

That crab should take the xenia's place at the LFS IMO...
I was actually planning on getting rid of him with the Xenia, but I conveniently had a bubble algae outbreak this week so actually need him for once. He has worn out his welcome though.

If by the time I go to the lfs today and he is wreaking havoc again I’ll just replace him.

One thing you can also do if you are specifically trying to grow it to frag is attach some to a couple plugs on a rack, then surround each plug with empty ones so it sorta naturally creates frags for you. I used to do this with my Xenia and GSP back in the day to make frags for trading and such.

Couple of days. Most softies will slime off superglue.
Use a rubber band to hold in place on rock or plug until they attach, which they will.

I have an opposite question. How do you get them off the discs to put on the rock?

It usually pulls off rather easily, it helps to get a razor under to pop it off.
Alternatively, you could just put the plug on the rock and in a few weeks it will have spread and covered the plug entirely.
